Executive Director
Carltez Hampton is honored to serve as the Executive Director of the H.L. Neblett Community Center. Prior to that role, Carltez served as the Director of Childcare and the Afterschool Enrichment Program at the H.L. Neblett Community Center. Having earned a bachelor’s degree from Western KY University, Carltez has devoted more than seventeen years to working with the youth and their families. He is committed to creating a strong educational program while staying true to the mission that Dr. & Mrs. Hattie L. Neblett created.

Western Academy Executive Director
Olga McKissic brings a wealth of experience to the directorship at the Neblett Center. She worked for BellSouth for thirty years and retired as a Corporate Trainer and Sales Team Manager in Business Marketing in Louisville, KY. After retiring she accepted the position of Operations Manager at Marshall Capital Management Group, a financial advisory firm in Louisville, Ky.
She is a graduate of Owensboro High School and earned a BA degree from Spaulding University in Louisville, KY, and a Master of Theology degree from Campbellsville University in Campbellsville, KY. Currently, she is an associate minister at Fourth Street Baptist Church and also, is the Executive Director of Western Academy at The Neblett.

Director of Childcare & Afterschool
T’Onna Drake is an Owensboro native and graduate of Owensboro High School. She has been at the Neblett Center for fifteen years, working in the daycare and afterschool areas. Recently promoted to Childcare Director, T’Onna brings a wealth of knowledge about the state regulations to her new role. T’Onna is committed to the Neblett Center’s mission and continues to honor the legacy of Dr. and Mrs. Neblett through her work with the youth. In her spare time, she cheers on her daughter at all of her activities.

Director of Nutrition
Selamawit Greer is our Nutrition Director at the H.L. Neblett Community Center. Originally from Ethiopia, Selam brings a diverse cultural experience to our leadership team. Since taking on the role, Selam has maintained a 100% A rating with the Green River Health Department for the sanitation of our nutrition areas. Outside of work, Selam spreads love and joy wherever she goes, and is a devoted mother.
Director of Compliance
Vanessa Ewing is originally from Muhlenberg County, KY and moved to Owensboro to have a fresh start. She graduated from Grayson County High School in Leitchfield, KY with a general diploma in 2000. Since then, she has worked in multiple positions that have allowed her to gain experience and knowledge in the workforce. Prior to becoming the Director of Compliance at the Neblett Center, Vanessa was the Administrative Assistant for three years, allowing her to become very familiar with the procedures and processes that keep the organization going. She is a very detailed person who takes pride in staying organized and anticipating needs to enhance workplace efficiency. Her main hobby since coming to Owensboro is learning the roads and making friends that she enjoys spending time with.

Director of Finance
Christopher Stuchell is originally from Columbia, Kentucky. He holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in English from Lindsey Wilson University and is working towards a post-baccalaureate certificate in Accounting from Brescia University. He currently serves as a Board Member for zoomgroup, a nonprofit organization out of Louisville, KY. Chris also serves as the President of the Owensboro Human Relations Commission. In his spare time, Chris enjoys cooking, baking, and listening to music.
